Just look at this picture for sometime and you would be amazed to realize how small, meaningless and uncountable we are in this massive secret maze of the Creator. Our whole planet earth is not even the size of a dot in this infinite matrix.

That also tells us, how insignificant we are in the big picture as individuals. And the only thing that really makes a difference to anyone on this planet is how we make this world a better place for ourselves and for those who would come after us.

Ok so about me. name's Khurram .. you still dint heard the bell did you?

Give me a break. How do you say that name..

Don't worry. You are not the only one to think like that. I thought my name was the easiest to say and remember as it only has three alphabets of the urdu language. Khurram actually means "prosperous" in urdu, used in conjuction with the urdu proverb khush-o-khurram (meaning happy and prosperous). But when i moved to europe and then to north america, I found almost every second person struggling to pronounce my name. Hah that is funny when you see people struggling to say your name. That's because there is no word that sounds like 'kh' in english language. Like the Docker's Khaki's or Kite have same pronunciation in english for the starting "kh". The thing is that 'kh' is pronounced differently in many oriental and european languages, than it is said in english. So one way to say it is if you try to say koor-rum. My two-year and four-year old nephews call me khullam as they can't say it either. Actually I had some european, american and canadian friends trying really hard and actually making funny sounds from the throat while trying to say it, but hey how can you learn and globalize if you can't say names like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone. Now Khurram sounds much easier to say ain't it! here is a lovely sweet voice saying my name Khurram. I know she sounds like she hates me and is about to kill me or something, but thats another story. Lets just focus on the word for now. So now that you know how to say a word that was foreign to you a while back, it doesnt really make any difference in the way life goes for you.. does it ?.. hmm so lets keep reading cause you gotta kill time too, right !

Currently I'm in Canada .. its been a while actually since i wrote that..  moved here after doing my Master's degree from Stockholm, Sweden. My background is Oriental (and no, oriental does NOT mean chinese to the actual people of Asia who are indians, pakistanis, afghanis, sri lankans, nepalis, bangalis, iranis and neither does Asian mean chinese to any of these.. they all very happily and proudly cal themselves asians and orientals) with education in computers and engineering from Pakistan. Apart from working or trying to poke my nose into everything, I also loved to study fine arts, graphics, and interior designing. If i was a girl, i think i would be doing masters in architecture, mass communication or graphics designing.

Take My Breath Away

Well that was a little about me. To be more specific I am Pisces , and i think you missed the chance to give me a kiss on my birthday! however the option would still do fine with me.. oh yes just one thing! God did not created Adam and Bruce, it was Adam and Eve, so if you are a male having some thoughts, get a life buddy or get a wife].. if you are still curious about me then hmm the last time i checked myself i was a male (that wasnt long ago believe me).. have black hair that are vanishing rapidly (ok this can be a touchy topic so lets just not discuss it further with the hope that they come up with something like bald and bolder instead of head and shoulder), have brown eyes .. average height and built .. got two hands, two legs, two eyes, two ears, thirty-two teeth (which i brush regularly with that special dental toothpaste my mother insists and actually gave me a few year's supply in advance).. hmm did you mcleans your teeth today? and everything else perfectly normal and functioning properly *smile* you are on candid camera. Curious nosy surfer, ain't ya!

Man In The Mirror

I kind of hate to describe myself as being the Mr. Good and actually I ain't like that either.. Just an ordinary guy with nothing special or something.. loves to enjoy life and nature.. can be very opinionated sometimes.. i generally consider myself a good listener and an excellent observer.. and i used to have a lot of fun in the right company .. everyone is different. some people like to stay with thousand people all the time and some like me prefer to be in a good company or just by myself exploring nature and life. good company is also something relative to everyone. for some, good company means friends who care. for some it means something else.

i once read a good line somewhere years back, a good friend is like someone with whom you can spend an evening just sitting on a bench near the sea, staring at the waves and the sun, without saying a word.. and when you return home still without saying a word, you feel that was the best discussion you have had in a long time.

I like to live life the way it should be lived and so have poked my nose in kinda every matter of life.. did you just said i have a fat nose! manners people manners.. order order.. lets continue.. so the definition of life to me is "It started without my will and it will end without my will.. but I live it upto my will.. Life is what you make it! " Love to learn new things and make new friends .. and just try to make the most of the small life that we have got.. Oh and my favorite activity is sleeping. I love to sleep, anytime all the time. well if you are curious about dislikes then i dont like yawns so please wake up, go wash ur face, and lets keep exploring about me, since you still don't seem to find nothing better to do than to keep reading about me.

I believe in a reason that i thought myself .. or maybe life taught me over all those years and counties and cities and people and places.. anyways so what i believe is something along the lines that in this entire mystery of creation from bllions of years ago to trillions of years ahead... there was no one like me and there would be no one like me.. i only exist once and it is this time and this moment that i exist.. i am a believer so I believe God created me for a reason.. and the day i find that reason.. you will be the first to know.. or maybe not.. you need to find your own reason because there was no one like you either and there would be no one like you ever.. you are unique and so appreciate your Creator and a creation as beautiful as yourself.. do something good today to those who are close dear and near to you.. like parents, siblings, friends.. and trust me when you do that and go to bed.. you will feel the power of creation and will get a step closer to yourself and your reason..

Okay enough philisophy.. no more soup for you today.. so where were we.

Favorite Him, Her, This, That

My favorite personality is Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him ). And I Love my mother who devoted her whole life bringing me up. I am blessed to have her around. That doesn't mean I wont mention my love with my other family members. Oh i love my little lovely beautiful nephews and neice. I love the way they called me khullam mama (mama is a modernized urdu word for mamu or uncle). Then comes a long long list of my friends who are so dear to me. My school, college and university pals, some colleagues with whom I've worked.. Some roomates with whom i've shared the days and nights of life and thoughts.. then those who are more than friends.. If you're one of my friends reading this page, then just to let you know that you really are in my thoughtswhenever i sit back and think of those wonderful times.. and i remember you in my prayers.. and if you are just surfing this page then why not drop me some words about yourself.. sharing is a human emotion.. let it flow and it will help your innerself grow and glow..

Some good actors are Naseeruddin Shah, Mel Gibson, Martin Lawrence, Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage, Morgan Freeman, Jacky Chen, Jet Li, Tom Hanks [i love his eyes.. they are so smiling, and dont ya dare get me wrong, i am straight], Jim Carey, Brad Pitt [hey Shania.. he does impress me much, only sometimes though], Manoj Bajpai, Amir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachan. Then there are John Travolta, Stallone, Arnold, Van Damme.. guys who probably seem to have had some expired asteriod afteraffects, but it worked.

TV Plays and Serials

A nice TV play or kinda Opera i loved on SONY channel was Movers and Shakers and Shekher Suman is really the gym of an artist. So is Moin Akhter.. I also love watching light comedy plays like those classics I Dream of Jeannie, Alf, Perfect Strangers [Bronson Pinchot was so funny], Everybody Loves Raymond, and the all time superhit serials like Friends, Sienfeld (i mostly liked Kramer's acting more than Jerry Sienfeld's humor doses). Favorite PTV [Pakistan Television] Serials are Ankahi [with tribute to great actor late Saleem Nasir], Tanhaiyan, Alif-noon and Fifty-Fifty. Fifty-fifty was the best pakistani comedy serial to date and it rocked with Ismail Tara and others. Infact fifty-fifty to Pakistanis was like Sienfeld to Americans. The best pakistan tv show ever produced. Here is a short clip from one of the fifty-fifty classics.
