Ok ! so here we are. Hmm i can understand your emotions specially after looking at my site now you probably are thinking ok so the guy never gives up and now he is trying to give tips for a "good" design.. well.. too bad so sad.. take it or leave it.. i just had to share it so here it is.. lets try to explore some online tutorials and tips to make a good web page. I will update this section with my own tips and tricks when i can find time. And seeing my schedule.. it looks thats around ages (well it only took me 10 years to update this text finally) so till then you've to act like a nice person, and have to digest the collected information on the subject of good web design !

Basically there is no such thing as a good web page, a good website, a perfect website, best website or the most beautiful website. For that matter, there is no such thing as a good homepage, an excellent personal site, a good page or anything either. Good and bad are personal preferences. People can find websites that really suck (with all due respect to their useless designers) and people can actually discard and ignore really worked hard, time-spent websites. I coded raw HTML for last 10 years. And the more I code the harder I found it to update once it was done to perfection. Most of the content management systems including the blogs that are around actually use very faulty HTML codings, are full of tables and are pretty obvious examples of bad web designs, if you talk in the hard coded sense. But people are busy. They always have something to keep them occupied. So no one really cares how much time a designer or developer spent on the coding or if they coded it raw or opted for WYSIWYG editors. What matters is how well the site looks in a first impression. Thats right, we humans are attached to first impressions. Its in our pshychic (i hate to spell this word). Anyways so these were the tips I collected almost 10 years back about some websites, that give ideas and hints on what is a good design and what is a bad design. But still, its a matter of personal preferences. Content always takes precedence over design. A perfectly designed lovely website is visited once, twice, thrice maybe. But what keeps people coming back is updated fresh content, attractive features that keep them busy and useful information that they really need.

So here are the links:

Hmmm.. if you have gone through all of the above links.. you now have a fairly good idea of what actually the good web design is all about.. to put it in my words.. i call a good design as one that is simple, elegant, consistent color theme, informative and easy to navigate and above all .. it should be "interesting" so hey come'on now kill those yawns and dont make my site sound boring.

If you know of any good resources or links that you believe should be on this page, please feel free to contact me anytime. And if you are a spammer, please I dont need no viagra and I dont need breast enlargement either. So please go to the spammer's hell. All other good people, well good people never did anything except staring so if you are good, you are useless too. All those not so good people like me, lets share it and help others learn.

A free Online Discussion Forum is also included here at this site now, where you can share your thoughts and experiences with others, and if you are aware of some cool links, tips & tricks.. then lets share it with others !
