If you are a PHP programmer or a hacker of available php based content management solutions, you must have heard of phpBB which is a bulletin board or forum software written in PHP.

 Here is a list of some of the mods or modifications that I wrote for phpBB while customizing it to suite my needs for various sites and reasons. Feel free to use them or link to the resources to get them. These mods are available for download at the forum with complete description and verified to work with latest available version of phpBB.

phpBB mod : Simplified Header Links

The "simplified header links" mod basically is a modification to the phpBB that changes the header links at the top of the forum to a more simplified and what I felt a desired state. It adds a HOME link, removes the USERGROUPS link and also modifies the wording associated to Private Messaging and FAQ.

 

phpBB mod : Hijri Date

This mod adds the Islamic Hijri Date on the Forum index, showing below Forum Time.

 

phpBB mod: ifilm Video BB Code

This mod allows to embed videos into posts from the ifilm video sharing website.
