Azan (also writen Adhan, Azhan) is the Call for Prayer in Islam. Muslims pray five times every day, facing the Kaba (The House of God, The Al-Haram Mosque in Makkah) in accordance with the teachings of Islam through the Last Holy Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Last Holy Book, Quran. The traditional practice since the time of Prophet Muhammad is that an adult muslim man would call for prayers from the mosque, five times each day, in the wordings preset and used by the Prophet and his companions.
Surely they who divided their religion into parts and became sects, you have no concern with them; their affair is only with Allah, then He will inform them of what they did.Quran Chapter 6 Verse 159
People have forgotton the message of Allah and His prophet(s) and instead of remembering and thanking the God for His blessings and asking forgiveness and mercy, we have divided the religion into hundreds of thousands of sects. Some go to the extent of creating new sects on things like 3 prayers or 5 prayers or no prayers, some divide the religion on things like wash the hands or rub the hands.. but a very few can grab the real concept and essence of the practice. To remember to obey the God, to ask His forgiveness and to thank Him for His blessings, every single day.
O you who believe! seek help with patience (and perseverance) and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.Quran Chapter 2 Verse 153
If you live in a non-muslim country where Islamic practices like Azan are not allowed, you surely must be missing the sound of Azan or religious words? Here is something I had been in search for myself for years so I summarized all that I found on this page. Now you can listen to azan online and also download the audio and ringtone of azan. You can also save and watch the azan video on your mobile phones.
Ofcourse, its free to download and free to keep and share. May Allah's blessings be upon us all. Remember me in your prayers if you find these files useful in any way.
Listen to Azan - Audio from Masjid Al-Haram (Kaba) Makkah
I have used the Azan from Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah for audio, and the advanced mp3 and 3gp video codecs to maintain the size and quality. It works perfect for mobile phones that have mp3 and multimedia capabilities. So you can listen to azan anytime from your cell phones or even better can set the alarm for azan timings. Some call it ringtune, some prefer ring tone or ringtone and some call it tunes. Whatever you want to call it, it is the format that allows voice to be played on a cell phone with polyphonic ringtone capabilities. High Quality video versions of Azan are now available for download as well, for those who prefer the best of the best.
